Ok WTH? I had my autometer tach working great with the stock ignition. I added a accel coil and now when I rev the buggy to 5+ it jumps all over. All my conection are tight. Autometer FAQ say to set my pulse cycle (good), or if I am running a magneto dist to run suppresion wires (not). Anyone have this problem? _________________ 06 Gk 32 work in progress

I have the Accel Afterburner coil/ignition system and when set on the "low" output it will not energize my Sun tach until 2000rpms. On the "high" output setting, it works just fine. The stock system drove the Sun tach just fine.
I called Accel and spoke to a customer service rep about the situation. If I recall, they make some kind of tach drive signal "booster".
I wired my ignition so I can switch between the stock set up or the afterburner system. I run the stock system most of the time and use the Afterburner on high output when I plan to run on nitrous.
As far as I'm concerned, the stock ignition system on my 800 seems to perform just fine. Anyway, I guess my point is to call Accel and see what they suggest.
