| < Maintenance and Repairs - Mini Buggy ~ Help...NST 110 running rough, air/fuel issues... |

I bought my boys an NST 110 cart for Christmas, wish I'd found this site first. It ran great for the first few days(1 hour or so @ a time), then went south this afternoon. It stalled & then started, stalled, etc. My first guess was the fuel line was plugged. It will stay running if I block the air intake with my hand(intake leak?). I pulled the air filter & it was soaked in gas. I tried adjusting the air/fuel screw to no avail. It starts right up but then stalls after a few seconds idling. Any tips, tricks, ideas on what's going on with it? From what I can tell it's a Blade 110 knockoff, if that helps.

Simple things to check:
1. Intake elbow between cylinder and carb is not leaking or cracked
2. Gas cap vent is working
Requires more work:
1. Float and needle valve move freely and does not drag
2. Fuel filter and jets are not clogged
3. Electric choke extends after about 10 minutes to cut off the enrichment circuit
If you are not familar with these items, search the forums or ask us. _________________ 08 Joyner SandViper 250

Thanks for giving me somewhere to start from, obviously I'm a FNG when it comes to these. I can't see any cracks or leaks in the intake elbow. Not sure how to check the cap vent or any of the "requires more work..." Guess it's time to get my search fu on, thanks again for the post, hopefully I can track it down. Any links or instructions would be greatly appreciated!

spray some carb cleaner around where the intake bolts to the head and the carb. If the rpms change then there is a leak there. I have seen the needle get stuck sometimes so take the fuel bowl off, remove the float, move the needle valve in and out of the seat. it should move freely, spray some carb cleaner in the seat and jets to make sure they are clean.
also is the choke staying up when you start it? _________________ Blade buggies,Carter buggy's, ams (manco) , joyner, parts for almost anything

Welcome to Buggynews. Just like Bige said, start it up and spray some carb cleaner around the intake while it is running. How long does it run before it dies? _________________ Custom Buggy http://www.buggynews.com/topic13417.html

Thanks for the welcome, & the great tips, it's running strong now. I spayed the cleaner around the intake with no change in RPM's. I unscrewed the throttle cable & cleaned some debris out of there. Sprayed in a little cleaner, then proceeded to screw the cable back in with out aligning it. Turned the key & it fired up @ full throttle... After I changed my shorts I started tinkering again, it would start full choke, start to sputter, I'd push in the choke & it ran ok for about 10 seconds, then sputtered & stalled. Repeat, repeat, repeat... I thought it might be a good idea to turn off the gas valve @ the tank to try to dry out the carb(fuel dripping from the air filter again), so I turned it & started, it ran far better but rich. I leaned out the mix & now it runs like a champ. I assume the valve was off??? It has "Fuel ->" stamped on it, it's now pointed @ the tank, before it was pointed @ the fuel line leading off @ a 90 to the carb. Faulty valve either way? Why did it run for 5-6 hours before it quit? Thanks again for the warm welcome, this is a great forum with great people to boot!

I have found my kids blade 110 runs out of gas with 3/4 to 1 inch of gas still in the tank. I'm not sure but this might be reserve when the lever is pointing up at the tank.
