I second the request for the list of items in your "kit" Teamhog. Would be most appreciative for the info to jumpstart putting together my "kit".

Here's a couple of photos of the Joyner being picked up at auction.

Thanks guys.

Congrats. That white is sharp. The weak points on these buggies are the batteries (even though I'm the only one in my group that hasn't had a problem) and the tires (cheap 2-ply). If you have problems with fuel starvation, check your fuel line and make sure it's running at a consistent "downhill". If it dies after holding it open at top end for a while you'll probably have to re-jet or you may be able to adjust the carb suitably. I'm in Kansas at lower altitude and these things are pretty sensitive to jetting. That's a good buy at that price!

Here's a list of the stuff that ACBlind and I put in our tool boxes that attach to the rack on the buggy.

1) Combo Wrenches - Popular Sizes are good (6mm - 14mm). Adjustable Wrench

2) Socket Set - Popular Sizes (6mm - 14mm).

3) Metric Allen Wrench Set

4) Pliers/Cutters - Slip-Joint (one large, one small), Needle Nose, Diagonal. Vice-Grips.

5) Screw Drivers - Assorted

6) Electrical Kit - Wire Ties (various sizes), Wire, Assorted Solderless Terminals, Voltmeter, Electrial Tape (This stuff can be used for a lot of repairs).

Other Stuff -
Snap Ring Pliers
Carb Cleaner
Brake Fluid
Tow Strap.
Ball-joints (The Yerf-Dogs are known for blowing them out. We have the upgraded Ball-Joints and A-Arms but still don't trust them.).
Gear Oil
Engine Oil
Gas

Chris, thanks allot for the list!!! Lot of stuff on that list I hadn't thought of.

What else do I need to do to prep the Buggy before riding it a good bit? I'll change the fluids and gas 'er up. I'll look around for any obviously loose nuts, bolts, etc and tighten.

Any specific recommendations about what needs loctiting? What else do I need to do to prep? Grease any fittings? Any input would be appreciated gents.

Thanks again - I'm looking forward to going to get pick her up in Kerrville.

Thanks,
Treytexag

Koaz the place I bought was at a Ritchie Brothers in San Antonio. You can google them and see where they are having auctions next. Good luck.
