Hey everyone,
Just wanted to give props to Cobra Powersports out of
Texas. I bought a Peirspeed 252 go kart over 2 yrs ago
from these guys. They discontinued the go kart line around
1 1/2 to 2 yrs ago but have continued to give me support.
Over the last 4 weeks they have sent me a muffler, Stator,
Ignition switch and Master cyl. switch all free and even sent it
Fed Ex. no charge!! You just can't get customer service like this anywhere.
If you ever need a scooter or an atv, I would strongly recommend these guys.
Mike Shaw and Ed Hyslip for all you do, this beers for you.

Nope, not running
Changed, cdi ,coil, stator due to no fire, then
lost cranking. Changed ign. switch, now cranking
but very slow so I'm taking battery to work
tomorrow to charge and test. Hopefully then it will
start, if not I'm at a loss short of rewiring the D#*!!
thing.
Bill, if I ever get this thing running I'd be interested
in that throttle cable as the crimp on the carb side of mine
has seperated.
Still in buggy hell,
Chris
I have to agree about Cobra and Ed & crew. I've had mine for 3 years. 2 of those it didn't run. Ed returned calls, sent me parts (free!) and helped out anyway he could short of flying to Birmingham and fixing it. It sat for 2 years because I felt guilty about them sending me all those parts for free, so I quit calling. In the end, I had so much wrong with my ride, that the whole engine needed a rebuild.
The intake manifold cracked in half, the timing chain jumped a gear bending a valve, woodruff key sheared and welded itself to the crank etc. I'm glad to be riding (& posting) again. I've seen a lot of other buggies, and I'm glad I bought the one I did. I feel like the design is just better. Its bigger, more comfortable seats, dual chains increase clearance in the rear due to no axle... If I had my druthers, I'd druther have a bigger storage area to haul camping gear etc. Otherwise, I'm cool with it. I can't wait to ride at the Buggy Bash next year. Now if I can only find my Inaugural Buggy Bash license plate! _________________

Sorry guys have had a couple of other
projects going but no the kart is still down.
Next project is to take the side cover off and see if
the woodruff key has sheared. Hate to say it but
this Chinese stuff just ain't making it. Had it on the
road a total on maybe 12 hrs been working on it on and off
for the last year. I did buy a Yamaha Vmax and put a
350 crate engine in my 81 TA.
Bummer about this kart but the Vmax kicks #*#@ !!
