starts and runs great otherwise but when ever I try to run it wide open it surges spits and carries on like its gonna die all i have to do is let off and it runs fine again

That could be a number of things, but start with the basics first. Check and clean your air filter. Remove and clean the carb. Make sure your coil wires are tight. I don't know why the coil causes this type of problem but it does, My wifes buggy just had the same problem, I tighten the connections and it ran great. When you reinstall the carb and air filter make sure there are no air leaks.

If this don't help don't worry there are plenty of guys here with lots of experience in fixing annoying little problems like these.

I also had a similar situation which was related to the coil wires moving around a losing connection, only at wot.

I had it also only at WOT, bad coil wire.

THAT WAS IT THANKS A MILLION WIRE CONNECTOR ON COIL WAS LOOSE REINSTALLED IT AND WERE RUNNING GREAT
