Thanks for the post.

I like the idea of the belt going all the way to the bottom of the variator, befor beginning its climb.

Next time I am inside my CVT, your making me want to look if my 'tad longer' Comet belt is already giving me bottom on the variator... Wink

You're welcome Talonman. I've gotten so much iformation off this forum that I like to give some back when I can.
Also the way it was explained to me the variator (front pulley) controls where the belt rides on the clutch (rear pulley) so if you're lower on variator it will be higher on the clutch, also affecting gear ratio.
Anybody else doing this mod pull your cvt cover back off to make sure your belt is not rubbing on the inside of the cover (mine was) due to the belt being higher on the clutch pulley. Ground a little hump off and was good to go.

Hmm very strange, my joyner came with a shim already installed and a 868x24.2 belt! What size belts are your guys cn250's coming with?
